While our first album which was varied in song structure, rhythms and styles, it was really dense, drums, bass and guitars almost always playing something, on this EP we started focusing on the contrast of dense and sparse, instrumentation and arrangement, culminating in Мәншүк (Manshuk). Also we were experimenting with going acoustic a little bit, and new instruments (violin, cello, piano, udu), to show off our creative capabilities and we had the chance to work with some super talented people (see Manshuk and The Room).
About the title:
If you are an artist, you will struggle with originality; having too much of it or having the lack of it.
We are not unique, because we play music with instruments, we write lyrics - we didn't invent guitar playing, neither tuning nor song structures.
We are not unique, so there are people like us - we are not alone.
We are not unique, and being unique is not a value in itself - so it's not a loss.
But if we are not unique at all, there's no meaning in recreating what already exists.
